PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Ending his term as Regent of Garut, Rudy Gunawan officially serves as General Chair of the Garut Indonesian Football Association (Persigar) for the period 2024-2029. The inauguration and inauguration of the new Persigar management took place at the Garut Pendopo Building, Sunday (21/1/2024).

With the vision of raising local football achievements, Rudy is on a mission to bring Persigar to appear on national television screens, as a symbol of the team's success in reaching the Indonesian League 1.

Rudy emphasized the need for a comprehensive strategy including material readiness, players, management and support from the Garut Regency community.

"But getting there is not easy, there must be a strategy that must be implemented," he said.

Rudy said, the new management is determined to build a strong foundation by immediately drafting Persigar's statutes, looking for competent coaches, forming a strong team, and strengthening fundraising schemes.

"Especially, we are also strengthening fundraising, strengthening in order to give enthusiasm that Persigar must get appreciation from the community, if there are no bosoh (supporters) it is impossible for this to become big," he said.

In his introduction to the administrator's inauguration oath, Rudy also revealed that the newly appointed Persigar administrators are respected individuals with reputations in their respective fields. He hopes that their presence can advance football in Garut Regency, which is now supported by the representative RAA Adiwijaya Sports Facilities (SOR) complex.

"We will continue to build football fields, to reflect that Garut has a desire for football to progress," he said.

Rudy also emphasized that Persigar's management is not based on an ex officio position but on personal grounds, so he invited the management to work together to create a productive and efficient organization.

“This is our form of worship, contributing to society. "I hope that this management can be a source of pride for Garut Regency and bring progress to our football in the future," he said.
