PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto officially issued a Work From Home (WFH) policy every Friday for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab).

This policy is stated in Circular Letter Number 000.8.3/578-ORG dated March 27, 2026 as a response to the escalation of the global crisis and rising energy prices.

Rudy Susmanto stated that this policy is an adaptive measure by the Bogor Regency Government to maintain a balance between work productivity and energy efficiency. The policy was taken as a strategic measure to address the impact of the global crisis, particularly in the energy sector.

"We want to ensure that civil servants' performance remains optimal, while also contributing significantly to energy savings," said Rudy Susmanto.

Based on the Circular, civil servants will carry out their duties remotely every Friday, while remaining on work-from-office (WFO) days. This policy will be implemented following the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri holiday and collective leave.

Despite implementing a flexible work system, essential public services such as hospitals, transportation, security, and disaster management remain operational at the office. According to Rudy, work flexibility should not compromise the quality of service to the public.

"Public service is a top priority. Therefore, essential service units must remain fully operational, and all civil servants must maintain excellent service standards for the public," he stressed.

In addition to work arrangements, the Bogor Regency Government also implements energy efficiency policies in office environments, starting from using energy-saving electrical equipment and turning off lights that are not in use, optimizing sunlight through workspace arrangement, saving on water and office stationery (ATK) use, to setting the AC temperature to a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius.

The Bogor Regency Government is also encouraging changes to civil servant mobility patterns to be more environmentally friendly and reduce fuel consumption. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, civil servants are encouraged to use shared official vehicles or collective transportation (carpooling).

Meanwhile, on Wednesdays, use public transportation, do not use private or official cars, it is recommended to use motorbikes, bicycles and walking.

"We want to build a culture of energy efficiency within the civil service, starting with simple things like regulating electricity usage and changing transportation patterns to be more efficient and environmentally friendly," said Rudy.

To ensure the optimal implementation of this policy, civil servants are still required to record attendance and report performance through the SiCantik app and be ready to come to the office for urgent tasks. He emphasized that civil servant discipline remains key to the policy's success.

"Working from home doesn't mean a decrease in discipline. Instead, civil servants are required to be more professional, responsible, and responsive to the needs of the community, including being available when needed," he emphasized.

Through this policy, the Bogor Regency Government demonstrates its commitment to facing global challenges with concrete steps that not only impact budget efficiency but also support environmental conservation efforts.
