PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto appreciates the collaboration of the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab), Bogor City Government, Polres and Polresta Bogor who are serious about eradicating thuggery in the Bogor Raya area. This was conveyed by Rudy at a press conference regarding the disclosure of criminal cases of thuggery in the Bogor Regency and City areas, at the Bogor Police yard, Friday (9/5/2025).

Among the cases uncovered were acts of thuggery and eagle eye (matel) practices that disturbed the community. In a raid in Gunung Putri District, officers managed to confiscate 120 motorcycles from the matel headquarters.

Present at the event were the Chairman of the Bogor Regency DPRD, Bogor Police Chief, Dandim 0621 Bogor Regency, Bogor Deputy Mayor and Bogor Police Chief. The press conference was a collaboration between the Bogor Police and the Bogor City Police in eradicating thuggery in the Bogor Raya area.

Rudy said, this is a very good collaboration between the Bogor Regency Government and the Bogor City Government, Polres and Polresta Bogor. The government is committed together from the beginning to eradicate acts of thuggery that occur in the community.

"The public does not need to hesitate if they see any form of thuggery, immediately report it to the Bogor Police, Bogor Regency Government, and all levels of the Bogor Regency Forkopimda," said Rudy.

The Bogor Regency Government has formed a task force to eradicate thuggery to stop and take firm action against thugs. With these efforts, Rudy hopes that the investment climate in Bogor Regency will be conducive.

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro explained that his party together with the local government will jointly eradicate thuggery. Because, it is the Asta Cita program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto.

"Thuggery disrupts the investment climate in Bogor City and Regency. We will never be afraid of all acts of thuggery under any guise that occur in the Bogor City and Regency areas," explained AKBP Rio.

AKBP Rio also conveyed that the public should not hesitate to report any form of thuggery. For example, those who disguise themselves as eagle eyes.
