PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Bank Mandiri officially launched the first Export House in West Java Province, located at the Ciledug Branch Office, Garut City District, on Tuesday (6/5/2025). The Export House is a place for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to get coaching, financing, and knowledge to be able to export.
The inauguration was attended directly by the Regent of Garut Abdusy Syakur Amin, Head of the West Java Province Industry and Trade Service Nining Yulistiani and other invited guests.
Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin expressed his gratitude and pride for the strategic initiative of Bank Mandiri. He said that the presence of the Export House is a breath of fresh air for MSMEs in Garut who have great potential, but are constrained in terms of knowledge, access, and assistance to penetrate the export market.
"The goal, in my opinion, is very great, wanting to help MSMEs improve their qualifications, increase their level to become exporters," said Abdusy Syakur Amin.
Syakur invited MSME actors to make the most of this opportunity, considering that comprehensive support has been prepared, starting from mentoring, training, to access to capital.
"For Garut residents, especially MSMEs, let's flock here so that we can take advantage of the contribution from the West Java Provincial Government and also Bank Mandiri to improve the economy of Garut Regency," he continued.
Syakur also expressed special appreciation to the Indonesian Export Development Institute (LPEI) and Customs who were also present and provided support in the form of literacy, education, and guidance to MSMEs.
Head of the West Java Provincial Industry and Trade Office, Nining Yulistiani, also gave high appreciation for Bank Mandiri's initiative. She stated that the establishment of the Export House in Garut is a real implementation of the agreement between the West Java Provincial Government and Bank Mandiri in order to increase the capacity of MSMEs throughout West Java.
"Garut Regency has enormous potential, not only its creative economy, but also from the agricultural, plantation and fisheries sectors. It would be extraordinary if this potential became one of our export commodities and was carried out by MSMEs in Garut Regency," explained Nining.
Regional CEO Region IV Java I Bank Mandiri, Nila Mayta Rihandjani explained that the Export House is a form of solid collaboration between Bank Mandiri, the Garut Regency Government, the West Java Trade and Industry Office, Customs, and LPEI. According to her, the selection of Garut as the first location in West Java was based on the large number of MSMEs with export potential in the region.
Bank Mandiri has various products and services ready to support MSMEs in various stages, from micro financing to export financing.
"So with the existence of this export house, the MSME community can move up a class from being local to being able to 'go international'. MSME actors can also learn how to sell online as well, the requirements," he concluded.
With the inauguration of the Bank Mandiri Export House, it is hoped that more MSMEs in Garut Regency and West Java in general will be able to increase competitiveness, expand markets and contribute to regional and national economic growth.
