PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Garut Regency Government deployed District Social Welfare Workers, Disaster Preparedness Cadets, and Family Hope Program Companions to rehabilitate Mrs. Minawati's uninhabitable house in Cihalimun Hamlet, Sukatani Village, Cilawu District (28/6/2026).

This step was taken so that residents could immediately have more suitable, safe, and comfortable housing through a spirit of mutual cooperation with the community.

Head of the Garut Regency Social Service, Marlinda Siti Hana, said that the house rehabilitation was the government's quick response to Mrs. Minawati's living conditions, which required attention.

"This activity is a social response to the uninhabitable condition of Mrs. Minawati's house. Together with the local community, the spirit of mutual cooperation is realized through home rehabilitation to provide a more suitable, safe, and comfortable residence," said Marlinda.

The mobilization of social pillars involves Sub-district Social Welfare Workers, Disaster Preparedness Cadets, Family Hope Program Companions, and support from the surrounding community.

Marlinda believes that the involvement of these various elements accelerates the handling of vulnerable residents while strengthening social awareness within the community.

"The presence of the government, social pillars, and the community is a concrete manifestation of collaboration in implementing social welfare," he concluded.

This housing rehabilitation is expected to provide protection, improve the quality of life of residents, and ensure that vulnerable communities receive more suitable housing.
