PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City General Election Commission (KPU) officially named the pair Muhammad Farhan and Erwin as the elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Bandung for the 2025-2030 period. This pair legitimately won 523 thousand votes or 44.64 percent.

This determination was held by the Bandung City KPU at the Bandung City Hall Plaza (9/12/2025).

"Bandung City is included in the 40 percent that have no objections or lawsuits. So until yesterday there were no lawsuits from any party," he said.

"Next, it will be submitted to the Bandung City DPRD for inauguration," said the Chairman of the Bandung City KPU, Khoirul Anam Gumilar.

According to Khoirul, the next agenda is to help the Bandung City DPRD to prepare the inauguration agenda.

Based on the KPU regulations issued, the inauguration will be held on February 10, 2025 for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor as well as the Regent and Deputy Regent.

Meanwhile, Acting Regional Secretary of Bandung City, Iskandar Zulkarnain said, Bandung City is facing many crucial problems, such as garbage, flooding, traffic congestion, environmental degradation, and a number of relatively complex socio-cultural problems.

"I believe that Muhammad Farhan and Erwin are capable of facing these challenges. God willing, accompanied by prayers, we and all Bandung City Government officials are ready to help realize the campaign promises," said Zul, his nickname.

According to him, apart from the ranks of the Bandung City Government apparatus, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) has been relatively effective in handling cross-sectoral problems.

"In addition, there are also a number of parties who are usually invited to discussions regarding the development of Bandung City, such as academics, communities, and mass organizations/NGOs," he explained.

Meanwhile, the elected Mayor of Bandung for 2025-2030, Muhammad Farhan, said that collaboration between all elements is the most important part of development in the city of Bandung.

"Thank you to the Bandung City Government, Bandung City Forkopimda, KPU, Bawaslu and staff who have made the Election in Bandung City run safely and peacefully," he said.

Farhan admitted that he would accelerate public services. One of them is trying to reopen Husein Sastranegara Airport.

"Our commitment is to reopen flights to and from Husein Sastranegara," he said.

In addition, said Farhan, the main agenda that will be implemented is waste management.

"The main agenda is garbage first. Why garbage? Because it still needs to be handled until now. So our initial focus is garbage," he stressed.

In addition, the ducting project is also a focus for better improvement in activities during the project implementation.

"We will also try to improve the implementation of the project, so that it does not disrupt traffic and road conditions in the city of Bandung," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Bandung City DPRD, Asep Mulyadi said, there are 4 points that must be fixed to be considered. Starting from the environment to education.

"There are four points, first the environment, namely waste. This is the main issue of concern. Second is the problem of traffic jams. Third is related to health, because this is also an important priority factor during the new regional head's tenure. Lastly is education, there will be PPDB soon, this is a challenge for the Bandung City Government in the future," he said.
