PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) collaborates with various communities in the City of Bandung to hold Cleaning activities for Fun and Enjoyable City Sidewalks (FOR YOU), in the Asia Afrika Bandung area, ahead of the 2024 Asia Africa Festival (AAF) which will be held on July 6-7.

This activity involves the Bandung City Water Resources and Highways Service (DSDABM), Bandung City Fire and Disaster Management Service (Diskar PB), regional officials and other Regional Apparatus (PD) elements.

Assistant for Economy and Development Eric Mohammad Atthauriq welcomed the clean-up activities in the Asia and Africa region positively

"The Asia Africa Festival is a momentum to attract tourists to visit the city of Bandung, especially in the Asia and Africa region," said Eric, Thursday (4/7/2024)

"So today's cleaning activity is carried out not only as a ceremonial activity, but also to maximize the cleanliness and tidiness of public facilities in the city of Bandung so that visitors can travel comfortably," he said.

One member of the Komjurig Bandung community, Renita, admitted that she was very enthusiastic about the cleaning activities to welcome AAF

“I'm really happy, I can't wait for the event. "Hopefully the event will run smoothly so that more tourists will visit Bandung, especially to Asia and Africa, so they can take photos with us at the Bandung city jury," said Renita.

Cleaning activities were carried out along Jalan Asia Afrika, starting from the Tamblong intersection to the Banceuy intersection. These include maintenance, spraying and sweeping sidewalks, park maintenance, hauling away rubbish as well as painting vandalism and park chairs.

"Our focus is on cleaning the Asia and Africa areas, especially those that will be used in the parade later, starting from the sidewalks and park chairs. "Several vandalism spots will be painted over," said Head of DSDABM Didi Ruswandi.
