PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Regulation enforcement is carried out by prioritizing procedures, order, and public interest. This is realized through the demolition of unauthorized buildings located on road boundaries, sidewalks, and land owned by the West Java Provincial Government along Jalan Cihampelas, Bandung City.

During the operation, 84 buildings were demolished, including 52 in Coblong District and 32 in Bandung Wetan District. These buildings included both permanent and semi-permanent structures located in locations that were not in accordance with their intended use.

The enforcement action was implemented after going through administrative and procedural stages in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Prior to the enforcement action, guidance and persuasive approaches were taken with the building owners or users.

These stages include issuing Warning Letters (SP) 1, SP 2, and SP 3. The issuance of warning letters is a form of guidance as well as an opportunity for building owners to make adjustments or take action independently before further action is taken according to the provisions.

The enforcement of regulations in the field is carried out in a measured manner, while still maintaining order, security, and the condition of the surrounding community. This step is part of the government's efforts to maintain the function of public facilities and public spaces so that they can be used according to their intended purpose.

Regulation is not merely an act of enforcing regulations, but also part of a joint effort to create a more orderly urban environment and provide a safe and comfortable space for the community, including pedestrians and road users.
