PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Controlling the Dalem Kaum area by the Bandung City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) met resistance from Street Vendors (PKL), Friday (22/11/2023). As a result, three Bandung City Satpol PP officers were injured.

Head of the Bandung City Satpol PP, Rasdian Setiadi, explained that the chronology of the resistance incident from street vendors began when officers and the public were carrying out Friday prayers at the Bandung City Grand Mosque.

Unscrupulous street vendors set up their stalls in the red zone area, namely in Kaum Bandung.

"We follow the rules based on Bandung City Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 4 of 2011 concerning the Arrangement and Development of Street Vendors that there are 3 zones, namely red, yellow and green," he said.

Based on these regulations, Bandung City Satpol PP officers then tried to bring order. It turns out there was resistance from street vendors.

"According to the regulations in Kaum Bandung, it is a red zone so it is prohibited to set up sales stalls," he said.

Rasdian revealed that Satpol PP had made efforts to educate, socialize and notify through SP 1 to 3 in accordance with Permendagri 54 of 2011 concerning Satpol PP SOPs regarding the arrangement of the Dalem Kaum area.

"We have agreed. "We are socializing and bringing together the street vendors in Dalem Kaum who are relocating to the Alun-alun Basement," he explained.

"The government is not remaining silent, we are looking for solutions and solutions so that it provides comfort to traders and they can return to their activities," he explained.

As is known, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) has arranged the basement of the Alun-alun for the Dalem Kaum street vendors. A total of 140 street vendors from the Dalem Kaum and Alun-alun areas have occupied new places.

The arrangement of the Alun-alun Basement Street Vendors could become one of the new culinary tourism destinations in the city of Bandung. The arrangement can increase the turnover of MSMEs and attract more tourists.

Arrangement of Alun-alun Basement Street Vendors in collaboration with PT. Mayora has provided the supporting capacity for selling facilities of 140 kiosks, chairs and tables, exhouse, fans, fire extinguishers, 140 point lights, sinks, neon boxes, wall coverings, as well as supporting capacity for water and electricity installations.

During the inauguration of the Basement Alun-alun arrangement, the street vendors were committed to maintaining order and cleanliness; maintaining facilities and infrastructure that have been facilitated; will not trade illegal goods; will not remodel and add changes to the function of existing facilities; will not lend or transfer the selling place to other parties; and trade equipment is easy to move.
