PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - The Bogor District Government is again taking an integrated action against 94 couples consisting of 50 couples from Rumpin residents and 44 couples from Parung Panjang residents.

This marriage ceremony is proof of commitment to provide legal certainty, which took place at the Rumpin District Office (1/12/2023).

Expert Staff for Government, Politics, Law and People's Welfare of the Regional Secretariat of Bogor Regency, Ma'mur, said that this marriage registration is an effort to increase capacity to empower and provide protection and fulfillment of the rights of women and children in Bogor Regency.

Children from unregistered marriages will have difficulty processing birth certificates and other important documents, which will affect their future.

"Thank you and appreciation for the collaboration between the Republic of Indonesia Civil Service Corps (KORPRI), the Office of the Ministry of Religion, and the Cibinong Religious Court, Bogor Regency, as well as all parties involved in this marriage isbat. This will encourage the acceleration of ownership of population administration, in order to support the family resilience program and a program to protect women's and children's rights in Bogor Regency," explained Ma'mur.

In the same place, the Head of the DP3AP2KB service, Susi Rahayu Agustini, explained that this integrated marriage law is to provide legal protection, guarantee of rights and justice for society, especially for women in marriage. For example, making birth certificates, children's identity cards, processing passports and others.

"We hope that with this activity the people of Rumpin and Parung Panjang can be facilitated and obtain marriage status according to religion and state as well as population administration such as KTP, birth certificate and child identity card or KIA," explained Susi.

Then, Deputy Head of the Cibinong Religious Office, Alwi, added that this itsbat was carried out to legalize marriages that were not yet legally legal by the state but were legal religiously.

"They are legalized by the state, meaning that the marriage is valid according to the Islamic religion and the state, namely complete requirements and a marriage book. With the marriage book, God willing, it will be easier to process and obtain documents to fulfill children's rights," he added.
