PORTALJABAR, BEKASI CITY - The Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Herman Suryatman, encouraged the West Java Indonesian Indigenous Entrepreneurs Association (HIPPI) to strengthen its role as an inclusive and adaptive economic force in facing regional economic growth opportunities.

This message was delivered by Herman when opening the Regional Working Meeting (Rakerda) of the West Java Province HIPPI Regional Management Board for the 2025-2030 term at the Horison Hotel, Bekasi City, Monday (28/9/2026) afternoon.

Herman commended HIPPI for its continued involvement in the business world in West Java. However, he emphasized that this contribution must be realized through open collaboration and the involvement of all economic actors.

"I appreciate HIPPI. We certainly hope HIPPI can prove its inclusiveness with its work. Human relationships must be inclusive," Herman said.

According to Herman, economic development cannot be achieved in isolation. The government, the business world, and various community groups need to collaborate to generate economic growth.

Therefore, he hopes that HIPPI will not stop at organizational activities, but will be able to produce works and achievements that will bring its members to the next level.

"The HIPPI family is inclusive in its work and achievements. We strive to move up a class and be of great benefit," he said.

Herman also emphasized the importance of entrepreneurs' courage to move forward and anticipate change. He encouraged HIPPI to produce work that is one step ahead so it can seize the ever-growing economic opportunities.

From a macroeconomic perspective, Herman stated that West Java's current economic conditions provide ample room for business expansion. According to the data he presented, West Java's economy grew 5.73 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026.

This growth, Herman continued, was supported by a number of economic components that showed positive developments, starting from government spending, consumption, investment, to export-import activities.

"Entrepreneurs, please take advantage of the opportunities presented, whether in the government, consumption, investment, or even export-import sectors. The opportunity is wide open," he said.

According to Herman, the business world should capitalize on this economic growth momentum to expand its business scale. He believes the positive economic conditions present an opportunity for businesses to expand and increase their capacity.

"West Java's economy is growing now. This is the right time for expansion, the right time to move up a class," Herman said.

Beyond the momentum of economic growth, Herman emphasized the importance of capitalizing on the demographic bonus period, which will last from 2025 to 2030. He believes this period represents a strategic opportunity that will not come twice in the same form.

"We also have the demographic bonus of 2025-2030. If we miss it, the momentum will be lost. So, make the most of the next five years," he said.

Herman hopes that the West Java HIPPI Regional Working Meeting will provide a platform for formulating concrete steps to strengthen the capacity of entrepreneurs, expand collaboration, and seize available economic opportunities.

"I am sure the HIPPI family will be successful," said Herman.
