PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Republic of Indonesia Civil Service Corps (Korpri) is one of the components of the nation that drives national development, including in West Java.

Therefore, at the age of 53 in 2024, the Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Herman Suryatman, encouraged the West Java Korpri as the driving force of development to continue to strengthen its commitment to performing well in order to improve the welfare of the West Java community.

Including boosting macro development indicators, starting from the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) to the prevalence of stunting .

"We still have a lot of homework, such as the open unemployment rate (TPT), extreme poverty, the Gini ratio index, and the prevalence of stunting ," said Herman Suryatman at the 53rd Anniversary of Korpri in 2024 in the front yard of Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Friday (11/29/2024).

"(West Java) has many achievements, but there is still a lot of homework, so let's close ranks. The ranks of West Java Korpri must be the driving force of development, how in the next year we will make a leap in development achievements in West Java Province," he said.

Stakeholders in the scope of the West Java Provincial Government cannot work alone. Therefore, it is necessary to work together, work together with the spirit of sabilulungan with other development stakeholders starting at the district/city, sub-district to village/sub-district levels.

So that the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) gathered in Korpri Jabar need to act as an aggregator who plays a role in orchestrating various parties to systems and potentials for progressive and accelerated development.

"West Java's development achievements are aggregate. No matter how great West Java is without regencies/cities, sub-districts, villages/sub-districts, and also without other development components, it certainly cannot be done, so we must work together," he said.

"Today and in the future, Korpri, ASN Jabar must become an aggregator capable of aggregating all potentials. Let's work together to achieve it," said Herman.

Development aggregator mission

Herman further mentioned three things that West Java ASN must have in carrying out their mission as development aggregators.

First, West Java ASN must prioritize research functions, analytical skills so that with good data, decision making is expected to be good too.

"Second, armed with the data they have, ASN must then connect the dots, namely have the ability to connect," he said.

Including the Pentahelix element, West Java ASN needs to implement a spirit of collaboration to present innovation in development and public services.

Third, Herman continued, no less important is the skill that ASN Korpri Jabar needs to have, namely interpersonal skills or good communication skills.

"At least at the end of this year, hone your communication skills, optimize them in 2025," he advised.

"In the next year, the welfare of the people of West Java can increase," concluded Herman.
