PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Regional Secretary of West Java Province Herman Suryatman attended the 2024 West Java Province Family Resilience Coordination Meeting at Prime Park Hotel, Bandung City, Thursday (11/28/2024).

The theme of the coordination meeting was “Building Family Resilience to Create Quality Families: Overcoming the Challenges of Divorce, Child Marriage, and Human Trafficking (TPPO) in West Java”.

"Today we gather, the extended family of DP3AKB (Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning Service) of the Province and 27 Districts/Cities in West Java, as well as related stakeholders, including activists who care about family resilience," said Herman Suryatman.

On that occasion, Herman said that family resilience is the key to the birth of quality human resources (HR). This is important to take advantage of the demographic bonus, especially towards Indonesia Emas 2045.

If the family is strong and quality, then social problems will be minimal. Furthermore, including issues of divorce, child marriage, to TPPO should be prevented from the smallest unit in society, namely the family.

For this reason, Herman continued, it is necessary to strengthen the eight family functions that must be considered in forming a quality family, namely religious, socio-cultural, loving and affectionate, and protection.

Other family functions include reproduction, socialization and education, economics and environment.

"We are committed to taking progressive steps to improve family resilience in West Java," said Herman.

"This is so that families in West Java are strong because if families are strong, then villages or sub-districts are strong, districts and cities are strong, and in the end, West Java will be strong," he said.

Therefore, matters of increasing family resilience in West Java require collaboration from various parties starting from the provincial, city, district and sub-district levels to the village/sub-district levels.

"We will fight for it together," said Herman.
