JAKARTA - The Regional Secretary of West Java Province delivered insights at the Conscious Leadership Introduction (COLIN) leadership training activity, together with the West Java Provincial and Regency/City Cooperatives and Small Business (KUK) Service.

The activity with the theme "Realizing Impactful Governance Transformation for Cooperative and MSME Development in West Java Province" took place at the United In Diversity (UID) Learning Hub, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/2/2025).

At the meeting, Herman provided motivation to stakeholders in the cooperative and small business (KUK) sector regarding West Java's positioning in the Golden Indonesia 2045 landscape.

In order to carry out proper positioning, the vision being pursued needs to be understood well.

He said that Indonesia Emas 2045 is a vision for the future, where in 2045 Indonesia is targeted to become one of the developed countries in the world.

"That is the result of research from McKinsey and the World Bank. With the conditions and potential that we have now, we are projected to achieve developed country status in the next 20 years," said Herman.

"But the question is, will we really become a developed country? It depends on what we do today," he continued.

De facto, continued Herman, if the various potentials that exist are analyzed, West Java has a great opportunity to achieve it.

The West Java region with all its potential, starting from natural resources and human resources with a population of almost 50 million, must at least be able to drive the rate of economic growth in an accelerated manner.

Moreover, the KUK sector has a bright future if the assistance from the West Java Provincial Government and the Regency/City Governments runs optimally.

Therefore, it is necessary to have a strong commitment from various parties so that the vision of Golden Indonesia and West Java as the most advanced province can truly be achieved.

"If Indonesia Emas is targeted in 2045, then West Java must become the most advanced and leading province, the sooner the better," said Herman.

"We must be contextual in carrying out government, development and community tasks, both from a local, regional, national and global perspective," he said.
