PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman introduced the Jabar Caang Credit program to all heads of cooperative and MSME services in regencies and cities throughout West Java at the West Java Cooperative and Small Business Service office, Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Bandung City, Monday ( 11/11/2024 ).
Jabar Caang Credit is a program of the West Java Provincial Government to create new entrepreneurs and provide access to credit loans with low interest. Caang itself is an acronym for 'fast, safe, low interest'.
According to Herman, Kredit Jabar Caang targets housewives in villages. With the help of penetration of cooperative and UMKM services in districts and cities, it is hoped that Kredit Jabar Caang can be accelerated.
Before the new female entrepreneurs are given loans, they are first trained on how to become successful entrepreneurs: including good business management, mastering digital marketing and promotion, and most importantly continuity in production.
"We provide training for mothers (to become entrepreneurs), (trained) by entrepreneurs, implemented at the sub-district level targeting every village," said Herman Suryatman.
Herman targets that by 2025 there will be 600,000 new female entrepreneurs born from 27 districts and cities. "So hopefully by 2025 we will have 600 thousand mothers who have businesses. After being trained, they will at least have the basics for entrepreneurship," he said.
Herman reminded that the cooperative and UMKM service has a clear main task with the ultimate goal of improving the welfare of the community. Furthermore, the role is not only attached to the institution but also to the individual as a state civil servant (ASN).
Prospering society means providing income for families, one way is by providing a way for women to become entrepreneurs.
"ASN's duty is to prosper (the people). We must serve the community, prosper the community," he stressed.
In order for the Jabar Caang Credit program to run, Herman asked the district and city governments to work together. This program is not only run by the Provincial Government.
"There must be balance, collaboration between the provincial government and the city and district governments," said Herman.
Herman hopes that after the training is carried out massively, there will be many entrepreneurial mothers who can get Jabar Caang Credit.
