PORTALJABAR, CIMAHI CITY - West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman was impressed with the batik cloth products made by batik makers with disabilities under the guidance of the UPTD Pusyansos Griya Harapan Difabel, West Java Social Service.

Herman expressed his amazement at seeing the eye-catching batik cloth motifs that are refreshing to the eye and certainly interesting to have. With various batik motifs ranging from natural themes, plants, to abstract motifs with interesting color combinations.

"I am with the craftsmen of Batik Griya Difabel, their batik motifs are very varied, there are plant motifs, the theme is close to nature, the most interesting is the beautiful color combination, these are the works of friends with disabilities," said Herman Suryatman, in Cimahi City, Monday (10/28/2024).

Herman appreciates the craftsmen who are mostly young. With full enthusiasm they are productive in their work and empowered.

Moreover, Herman continued, today coincides with the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day. Today should be a moment to ignite the spirit of the young generation to continue to be productive, and contribute to development, including economic development.

Of course this is in line with what the disabled craftsmen do, with their work Batik Griya Difabel. In the future, Herman hopes that the craftsmen can be more independent, where in addition to being craftsmen they are also able to develop their businesses independently.

"One of them is through coaching at the West Java Social Service Pusyansos, there are children with disabilities who are coached, facilitated so that they produce beautiful works," said Herman.

In addition to batik making, the UPTD Pusyansos of the West Java Social Service also provides other skills classes, ranging from food processing, sewing, make-up, reflexology and shiatsu massage, to handicrafts.

Various products and activities carried out prioritize the zero waste concept with an environmentally friendly spirit.
