PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Provincial Secretary Herman Suryatman released 2,034 travelers who took part in the 2024 Free Homecoming at the Cicaheum Terminal, Bandung City, Saturday (6/4/2023).

Of this number, 1,550 homecoming travelers were facilitated by the West Java Provincial Government, 234 homecoming travelers by the Bandung City Regional Government, and 250 homecoming travelers were facilitated by Jasa Raharja.

"For the buses, the West Java Provincial Government has prepared 36 buses, Bandung City 5 buses, and Jasa Raharja 5 buses. A total of 46 buses will depart from Cicaheum Terminal," said Herman.

Herman said that this free homecoming is a form of the government's commitment to be present in the community in various life activities, including the Eid homecoming momentum.

"This seems simple but for the community it is very meaningful, because I think going home is something that is inevitable," said Herman.

"We saw the joy of the people on the bus. I met on one of the buses on the Solo route, there were parents, mothers, children, and everyone was happy," he added.

According to Herman, apart from making the community happy, free homecoming is also being sought to minimize residents who want to go home using private vehicles.

"Hopefully with the Free Homecoming, because riding the bus together, there are dozens of buses, there are thousands of people who are facilitated, this can minimize the movement of two-wheeled/four-wheeled vehicles, of course this will minimize accidents, including easing traffic jams," he said.

Herman ensured that the buses used in the Free Homecoming were in prime condition after going through various checking processes. Likewise, bus drivers and crew are ensured to be healthy and fit, so it is hoped that the journey will be safe, comfortable and smooth.
