
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Homecoming travelers have crossed West Java to Central Java. To anticipate health problems for travelers, the West Java Provincial Government has prepared 293 health posts.
The West Java Health Post is staffed with 423 doctors who are ready to be on duty 24 hours a day in shifts.
Apart from doctors, 1,981 nurses, 1,375 midwives, 46 traditional health workers (nakestrad) and 971 other health workers are also on standby.
During the homecoming flow, the post officers found basic health problems for the travelers being treated, namely six types of diseases including gastritis, hypertension, cephalgia (headache), influenza, vulnus laceratum/punctum, and tension headaches.
The number of drivers who received basic health services was 18 people, six people for treatment of gastritis in Bandung City and Tasikmalaya Regency; hypertension as many as four people in Bandung City and Pangandaran Regency; and cephalgia (headache) as many as one person in Bandung City.
Then there are five influenza treatments in Bandung City; vulnus lapceratum/punctum as many as one person in Bandung City; and tension headaches as many as one person in Bandung City.
"Of the six types of diseases treated, the majority of travelers experiencing gastritis are six people," said Regional Secretary of West Java Province Herman Suryatman in Bandung City, Friday ( 12/4/2024 ).
Through the health workers on duty at the post, they always remind and provide education to travelers regarding the illnesses suffered by travelers or travelers who come to the health post.
Herman also revealed that ahead of the return flow, health workers would increase the preparedness of the command posts, especially increasing awareness and observation for infectious diseases and other potential outbreaks.
"The 24-hour Puskesmas service will also be improved on the main home and return routes," he said.
Based on BMKG forecasts, Herman also reminded travelers to anticipate the possibility of heavy rain today, Friday ( 12/4/2024 ) for the areas of Bekasi Regency, Purwakarta Regency, West Bandung Regency, Bogor Regency, Bogor City; Bekasi City, and Depok City.
