PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Deputy Regent of Bekasi, dr. Asep Surya Atmaja officially opened the selection of Paskibraka Candidates (Capaska) at the Bekasi Regency level in 2025. The opening ceremony took place at the Swatantra Wibawa Mukti Building, Bekasi Regional Government, Monday (24/2/2025).

In his speech, the Deputy Regent of Bekasi emphasized that this selection aims to select the best sons and daughters of Bekasi Regency to serve as Paskibraka at the commemoration of Bekasi Regency Anniversary and the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in August.

"I really appreciate all the participants who attended this selection. You are the chosen young men and women who will undergo various stages of selection, including physical, mental, discipline, and national insight aspects," said Dr. Asep Surya Atmaja.

He added that being a Paskibraka is not just about raising the heirloom flag, but also an opportunity to hone discipline, leadership, and nationalism. The Deputy Regent also advised the committee to carry out the selection objectively, transparently, and professionally.

Head of Ideology, National Insight, and National Character at Kesbangpol Bekasi Regency, Rama B. Matandung, explained that the selection had begun since February 5, 2025 with the online registration and file verification stages. This year, the selection was attended by 1,065 participants from SMA/SMK/MA equivalent throughout Bekasi Regency, with 843 participants present in the first stage of the selection.

The Paskibraka selection will take place in several stages, including administrative selection on February 24, Pancasila and national insight selection on February 27, general intelligence test on April 8, and personality selection and final determination on April 25, 2025. The entire series of selections will be held at the Swatantra Wibawa Mukti Building, Bekasi Regency Government Plaza.

Participants who pass to the final stage will represent Bekasi Regency at the West Java Provincial level and have the opportunity to compete in the national Paskibraka selection. Of the 50 selected participants, 48 will be assigned to Bekasi Regency, while the two best participants will be sent to the provincial level for the national selection.

Rama also said that Bekasi Regency has sent Paskibraka representatives to the national level for three consecutive years. He hopes that this year's selection will further strengthen Bekasi Regency's achievements at the national level.
