PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Communication and Information Service (Diskominfo) confirmed that the upload of political party content on the bandung.go.id website was caused by hacking.

As a follow-up, the Bandung City Cyber Incident Response Team immediately moved quickly to carry out response and recovery actions related to the cyber incident and ensured that they closed any indications of security gaps that emerged.

"There was a hack on the Bandung City Government's official website (bandung.go.id). We have attempted to take countermeasures and recovery measures to normalize services from the Bandung City Government's official website," said Head of the Bandung City Diskominfo, Yayan A. Brilyana.

Due to this incident, in the future the Bandung City Diskominfo is committed to increasing extra and periodic protection to anticipate the occurrence of similar things in the future.

As is known, previously it was widely reported that the Bandung City Government's official website uploaded content containing the names of political parties in the 2024 Election.

Furthermore, the Cyber Incident Response Team (IT and Bandung City Diskominfo application team) will carry out a hardening process to increase security and comfort for users of the bandung.go.id website.
