PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - Since the implementation of the regulation prohibiting buskers on public transportation (angkot), the Bogor City Government (Pemkot) has continued to seek solutions so that they can still earn a living.

Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, who had participated in catching buskers in the Tugu Kujang area and offered them jobs as cleaners at the Bogor City Square.

"Alhamdulillah, there were three buskers that we managed to raid in public transportation, and when we offered them, they agreed to help maintain the cleanliness of the town square and have started working," he said, Thursday (10/4/2025).

Jenal said that the government is currently unable to recruit new employees. Therefore, this is a small solution so that they can still earn income.

"With various limitations, of course not everyone can be accommodated to help maintain the Alun-Alun. Hopefully they will, while waiting for a stepping stone to a better job," he said.

Jenal emphasized that the Bogor City Government continues to seek solutions. Do not let this cause new unemployment figures and increase crime rates.

"This is a little solution from us, namely by employing them to clean the Bogor City Square so that it is free from trash, so that it looks more beautiful and comfortable," he said. (Bogor City Communication and Information Service/UPI)
