
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono attended the 2025 Regional Development Work Plan (RKPD) Development Planning Conference (Musrenbang) for Bandung City, at the Horison Hotel, Monday (4/3/2024).
In his speech, Bambang said that Musrenbang is a space for the community to channel aspirations in accordance with the mandate of Law number 25 of 2004 concerning the National Development Planning System and Law number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government.
"The process of capturing community aspirations carried out through the Musrenbang mechanism is a long process, involving all stakeholders. All development stakeholders, together with regional officials, sub-district heads, village heads and RW heads, are given the opportunity to convey their aspirations," he said.
Bambang revealed that there are 4 strategic issues in the Bandung City Regional Development Plan. The four are improving the quality and competitiveness of human resources; improving government governance that serves effectively, efficiently and cleanly; increasing economic growth and equality; and improving the comfort and livability of cities.
"We are trying to ensure that the development index in Bandung City continues to increase. According to the data, the Human Development Index (HDI) for Bandung City reached 83.29 percent," he said.
Bambang said that the Musrenbang forum must be utilized as well as possible, so that it can have a positive impact and solutions to various problems that exist in society.
"I hope that all participants will take part in this meeting actively, so that they can provide lots of input and suggestions that are innovative, intelligent and constructive for a better Bandung City Government," he said.
Chairman of the Bandung City DPRD, Tedy Rusmawan, supports development plans in Bandung City.
"The Bandung City DPRD supports this as a manifestation of the mandate of the national development planning system. We have high hopes that this Musrenbang will be able to improve welfare, public services and regional competitiveness," he said.
Tedy said that there were 22 proposals from the people's representatives to serve as notes for the Bandung City Government to follow up on.
Starting from education, economics, transportation to health, Tedy suggested that it be done more massively so that it is in accordance with the plan.
"Economic recovery such as MSMEs. Increasing digitalization programs, regarding capital and business development," he said.
Regarding unemployment, Tedy said that training for the business world is needed, so that MSMEs in Bandung City are able to create employment opportunities.
"Unemployment must be suppressed with training, holding lots of job fairs, including for people with disabilities," he said.
Head of Regional Planning and Evaluation Subdivision II, Directorate General of Regional Development, Bob Ronald, said that development in Indonesia is obliged to serve the community.
"Whatever the planning is, it must be on target and able to reach the community," he said via Zoom Meeting.
According to him, planning activities are a routine agenda that the government must carry out to plan development for the following year.
"Planning activities are routine and must include all stakeholders. This is a forum for making the best possible use," he said.
