PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Djamari Chaniago emphasized the importance of maintaining communication with the public as key to creating a safe and conducive environment. He stated that various problems can be resolved if the government, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the public work together.

"Please maintain communication with our community. There is nothing we cannot solve if we work together with our community," he said during a visit to the III/Siliwangi Military Command Headquarters in Bandung City on Friday (7/8/2026).

The visit, attended by the Deputy Governor of West Java, Erwan Setiawan, served as a momentum to strengthen cross-sector coordination in maintaining political and security stability in the West Java region.

He stated that the Indonesian people, particularly those in West Java, have demonstrated a high level of resilience in the face of various challenges. Amidst global geopolitical conditions still marked by conflict in various countries, Indonesia is considered worthy of gratitude for its continued ability to maintain security and peace.

"We are fortunate to be in a country like Indonesia. Look at the world map; almost half the world is still engulfed in endless war. We are not like that. We remain peaceful and must maintain this condition together," he said.

In addition, Djamari also reminded the importance of maintaining good manners, respecting seniors, and strengthening togetherness in carrying out duties of service to the nation and state.

Meanwhile, Commander of the III/Siliwangi Military Command, Major General TNI Kosasih, expressed his appreciation for the visit of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, which was seen as a form of government attention to the development of the Indonesian Army's territorial affairs, especially the III/Siliwangi Military Command.

"Your presence demonstrates the government's concern for the development of the Indonesian Army's territorial integrity, and also encourages us all to continue serving the nation and state selflessly, sincerely, and wholeheartedly," said Kosasih.

He explained that Kodam III/Siliwangi is tasked with maintaining security and stability in West Java and Banten in an integrated manner, alongside the police and all elements of the nation. This synergy is necessary to create a safe and conducive environment for the community.

According to him, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs' working visit also serves as a strategic opportunity to strengthen cross-sector coordination and collaboration in addressing the ever-evolving dynamics of the strategic environment.

"The guidance and input provided will further strengthen our joint efforts to maintain political stability and national security, as well as increase the effectiveness of our regional tasks," he said.

Kosasih hopes that the series of working visits will run smoothly and provide the greatest benefits for the interests of the community, nation, and state.
