PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Head of the Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning Service (DP3AKB) of West Java Province, Siska Gerfianti, was officially inaugurated as Chair of the Family Empowerment and Welfare Movement Team (TP PKK) of West Java Province for the 2025-2030 period.

The inauguration took place at the Danareksa Tower, Jakarta, Thursday (20/2/2025), along with the inauguration of the Chairperson of the TP PKK and the Chairperson of the Posyandu Supervisors at the provincial level throughout Indonesia.

After the inauguration, Siska Gerfianti revealed that there were important directions from the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, and the General Chairperson of TP PKK, Tri Tito Karnavian, regarding the synergy of the PKK program with the government's priority programs.

"Alhamdulillah, today the inauguration of the Chairperson of the TP PKK and the Chairperson of the Posyandu Supervisors at the provincial level throughout Indonesia has been carried out. The Minister of Home Affairs and Mrs. Tri Tito Karnavian reminded that the PKK program must be synergized with all priority community programs," he said.

"PKK is a large organization that is able to reach down to the household level and must work for the good and welfare of the community in each province," said Siska.

Siska emphasized that the Chairperson of the Provincial TP PKK has a central role as a coordinator for the Chairperson of TP PKK at the district/city level. She also emphasized the importance of building synergy with various parties to achieve community welfare.

"We are expected to be 'mothers' for the district/city so that we can drive various programs for the welfare of the community. PKK programs must also synergize with the pentahelix , involving academics, the business world, and other elements of society in helping the government," said Siska.

Full Support for Government Programs

On that occasion, Siska also invited all PKK cadres in regencies/cities throughout West Java to play an active role in supporting government programs, including strengthening the role of Posyandu which now has six Minimum Service Standards (SPM), namely, Education, Health, Housing, Infrastructure, Public Order and Protection, and Social.

"PKK cadres are data collectors, movers, and counselors in the community. Let's move together to make the government's program a success. Let's realize West Java Special with the active role of all PKK cadres," he invited.

Amanda Soemedi Bey Machmudin, the previous Acting Chair of the West Java PKK TP, also congratulated Siska Gerfianti on her inauguration.

"I congratulate Dr. Siska Gerfianti on her inauguration as Chair of the West Java Province PKK TP for the 2025-2030 term. Hopefully, the West Java PKK TP will continue to progress and be able to run and continue existing programs better. For Posyandu, we hope to continue to assist the West Java Provincial Government in reducing stunting rates," said Amanda.

With a spirit of togetherness and strong commitment, Siska Gerfianti is ready to bring the West Java PKK TP to play an active role in improving community welfare and realizing Special West Java through various programs that are right on target and sustainable.
