
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java is the leading province in Indonesia in implementing the merit system by establishing State Civil Service management policies based on fair and reasonable competency and performance qualifications.
Acting Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Taufiq Budi Santoso, stated that in implementing the merit system, ASN management is determined fairly and fairly without prioritizing any background.
"This provides certainty for all ASN to receive fair treatment regarding employment aspects," said Taufiq while attending the Monitoring of Filling of High Leadership Positions (JPT) and the Presentation of the JPT Filling Quality Index Award at Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Friday (16/2/ 2024).
Taufiq said the role of the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) was very good in guiding ASN and supervising regional governments, both provincial and regency/city.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for the Supervision Working Group for Filling High Leadership Positions in Region II KASN, Agustinus Fatem, said that the West Java Provincial Government's merit system is at the forefront with very good ratings in Indonesia.
"In KASN's records, West Java is a province that has implemented a merit system with very good ratings and the highest scores in all of Indonesia," said Agustinus Fatem.
Apart from that, KASN currently has collaboration with the West Java Provincial Government regarding the development of a merit system in Indonesia.
West Java is a pilot project from KASN to facilitate other government agencies to develop their merit systems.
"KASN has collaborated with the West Java Provincial Government to develop a merit system, especially for regional governments," said Fatem.
