PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java leads the medal standings for the 2026 National Student Arts and Literature Festival (FLS3N) for Special Education. West Java leads with five gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal. This achievement places West Java in first place temporarily.

Head of the Special Education Development and Special Services Division of the West Java Education Office (Disdik), Firman Oktora, said that this achievement was the result of the hard work of students, supervising teachers, and schools in preparing the participants.

"This is an extraordinary achievement. Congratulations to the winners and the teachers who have provided excellent support and guidance," he said at the award ceremony for special needs students at the Ki Hajar Dewantara Hall of the West Java Education Office in Bandung on Wednesday (August 12, 2026).

Despite leading the medal count, West Java's position is not yet final. The national FLS3N medal count is calculated cumulatively across all levels of education. Meanwhile, the FLS3N for elementary, middle, high, and vocational high schools is still ongoing.

At the West Java level, the West Java Education Office also awarded the winners of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the FLS3N, Student Competency Competition (LKS), and the 2026 National Student Sports Olympiad (O2SN) for Special Education.

Firman said that student achievement is also inseparable from the support of the school which provides space for students to practice and develop their potential.

"Thank you to the schools for their support, teachers, and students for their training, guiding them to achieve the highest level of achievement," he said.

Firman also expressed his appreciation to the school principals and the Education Office Branches from Regions I to XIII who have provided support for student development.

"Congratulations also to the principal who has provided facilities and support for activities so that student achievement can continue to improve," he concluded.
