PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto is preparing to turn Pakansari Stadium into an integrated mini-city. The plan is to combine sports, tourism, religion, conservation, and the creative economy in one area.
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto stated that Pakansari Stadium will not only serve as a community sports center and facility, but also as an urban forest, recreation area, and education center. It will also serve as a training ground for animal lovers and animal-loving communities.
"Pakansari Stadium will also serve as a learning space for the community about the importance of nature conservation and ecosystem balance," he said.
Rudy Susmanto expressed his commitment to creating an urban area that not only functions as a center for government and sports, but also serves as an educational recreation facility for the community.
He explained that the Pakansari Stadium area and its surroundings will be developed into a central business district (CBD) of Bogor Regency that is integrated with green public spaces, sports facilities, and a wildlife conservation area called Government Park Zoo.
The concept, Rudy continued, is a collaboration between urban forests, rivers, and open spaces to allow visitors to experience a natural atmosphere. Initially, the area was designed solely as a jogging track and bird park, but over time, the concept has evolved into a broader and more inclusive conservation area.
The Head of the Bogor Regency Housing, Residential Areas, and Land Agency (DPKPP), Eko Mujiarto, explained that the development of this area is a follow-up to the policies and directives of Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto Susmanto who wants the Pakansari area to become an integrated space for sports, recreation, and social activities for the people of Greater Bogor.
"In accordance with the Regent's directive, we will develop the Pakansari Stadium area into a gathering center for the Bogor community. Various public facilities will be built there to support community comfort and activities," explained Eko Mujiarto.
Pakansari Stadium will be revitalized to make it appear more representative and beautiful, with lighting and parking arrangements that are more orderly and visitor-friendly.
Meanwhile, the construction of the Grand Mosque will be completed in 2025. This mosque will be the center of religious activities, equipped with a Hajj Dormitory Hotel, a Multipurpose Building, and a mini Hajj manasik area complete with a miniature mosque and sa'i route.
The 99-meter-high observation tower, which represents the Asmaul Husana, has become a new icon of the area, allowing visitors to enjoy the panorama from a height.
Sports facilities such as the Laga Satria Building, Laga Tangkas, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, and a dirt bike circuit will remain as area attractions. The Teras Pakansari culinary and MSME center will serve as a recreation and shopping area for residents after exercising or engaging in activities in the surrounding area.
The Command Center and helipad are designed to support coordination and mobility of activities in the Pakansari area.
In addition to the construction of these facilities, the Bogor Regency Government is also preparing to build the East Gate GOR Road which will be directly connected to the Jakarta-Bogor Highway and provide access to the Cibinong and Sentul Toll Roads, in order to facilitate connectivity and public access to this area.
"Hopefully, by the end of 2025 and into 2026, all development plans for the Pakansari stadium area can be realized. All of these steps are a concrete manifestation of the Bogor Regent's aspiration to make the Cibinong Raya area a center of growth and a source of pride for the people of Bogor Regency," concluded Eko Mujiarto.
