PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - SMPN 3 Limbangan, Garut Regency is witness to the serious efforts of the Garut Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) in fighting bullying against children.

Head of the Child Protection Division, Budi Kusmawan, representing the Garut Regency Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Population Control Service (DPPKBPPPA), gave material in front of 90 students of SMPN 3 Limbangan regarding Stop Bullying or bullying, Thursday (16/11/2023).

Budi welcomed the enthusiasm for this activity, especially regarding the formation of the Task Force. This is considered a form of the school's commitment to creating a child-friendly school environment, in line with the mandate of the Minister of Education and Culture.

This event was not only limited to socialization, but also involved the inauguration of the Child Protection Task Force (Task Force) in the education unit. The peak of the activity was marked by an anti-bullying declaration which was responded positively by teachers, parents and students.

This newly formed task force consists of various elements, such as Deputy Head of Curriculum, Deputy Head of Student Affairs, OSIS Supervisor, BK Coordinator, BK Team, teachers and administrative staff, school committee, and parents, reaching a total of 90 people.

Principal of SMPN 3 Limbangan Cicin Kuraesin explained that this activity was a concrete step to stop various forms of bullying in the school environment, following the implementation of Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 46 of 2023 concerning Prevention and Handling of Violence in Educational Unit Environments.
