PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Super Air Jet has prepared eight direct flight routes from Husein Sastranegara International Airport to various strategic cities in Indonesia to expand public travel access (17/7/2026).

These eight routes serve flights to Medan (Kualanamu), Pekanbaru, Padang, Batam, Pontianak, Balikpapan, Makassar, and Denpasar.

The presence of this new route is expected to strengthen Bandung City's connectivity with economic, educational, tourism, and investment centers in various regions of Indonesia.

Super Air Jet explained that the selection of the eight cities was based on their roles as centers of national economic growth, leading tourist destinations, educational cities, and transportation hubs.

Bandung is considered to have a continuously increasing need for air mobility because it is a creative city with many students, university students, professionals, business people, and creative industry workers.

This new flight service is expected to provide easier, faster, and more comfortable travel options, especially for the younger generation with high mobility.

People can take advantage of direct flights to support educational trips, business trips, tourism, flexible work, and professional network development.

Medan is the gateway to North Sumatra with its potential for business, education, culinary delights, and access to the Lake Toba tourist area.

Pekanbaru plays a role as one of the centers of economic and industrial growth on the island of Sumatra.

Padang offers the potential for natural tourism, Minangkabau culture, and is one of the educational cities in Indonesia.

Batam is a center for investment, manufacturing, and the digital economy, as well as a gateway to Singapore and Malaysia.

Pontianak strengthens West Kalimantan's connectivity as a center for trade, micro, small, and medium enterprises, and cultural diversity.

Balikpapan is the gateway to the capital of the archipelago and the center of business, energy, and investment in East Kalimantan.

Makassar serves as the main hub of Eastern Indonesia, connecting various cities in Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua.

Denpasar remains a leading destination for tourism, sports tourism, cultural festivals, music concerts, and creative workers and digital nomads.

All flights will use Airbus A320-200 aircraft with a capacity of 180 economy class seats.

The aircraft offers a more spacious cabin, ergonomic seats, adequate cabin baggage space, and comfort for various travel needs.
