PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - Mulyaharja Organic Agro Edutourism Thematic Village (AEWO) has its own charm, both in the tourism, agriculture, creative economy, and cultural sectors. In fact, the village is called the "remaining paradise" in Bogor City.

In the agricultural sector, from a total area of 23 hectares, AEWO Mulyaharja has three hectares of organic agricultural land. The area of agricultural land will increase by two hectares along with the development and expansion of the land. On Thursday (17/4/2205), a mass harvest was carried out at the location.

Presidential Envoy for Tourism Zita Anjani said that this big harvest is not only about showing off rice, but also showing off creative ideas.

"The concept of organic agro-edu-tourism is extraordinary, a combination of agriculture, tourism, creative economy, and collaboration between the center, regions, local residents, and farmers," he said.

Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim expressed his gratitude that Bogor City still has productive agricultural land to support government programs related to food security and independence.

A bumper harvest from a three-hectare plot will yield 6.3 tons of grain. After milling, it is estimated to yield around 3.5 tons of rice.

In addition to supporting the president's program in food security and independence, according to Dedie, (AEWO) Mulyaharja also has potential in the tourism sector. Rice fields with beautiful locations combined with cafes, biomass, lodging, and several shops can attract tourists. Anyone can come to AEWO Mulyaharja, including content creators.

Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa said, Mulyaharja is one of the sub-districts that has a big contribution to the tourism sector. The presence of tourist villages is one of the real proofs that the economy can grow from the village.

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya, who is also the Mayor of Bogor for the 2014–2024 period, expressed his gratitude to Dedie Rachim who continues to develop the "remaining paradise" in Mulyaharja Village.

He called this an example of local potential that synergizes with national programs.

"Not only is there food security, but also tourism, creative economy, and culture. This illustrates synergy and collaboration, not only between government elements, such as agencies, sub-district heads, and village heads, but also with various other elements," he concluded.

This grand harvest began with a performance of the Seeng Nyengsreng dance from Sanggar Andika, a traditional art that has existed since the Kasepuhan Sunda era.

Seeng or steamer is a symbol of well-being and prosperity, while nyengsreng is the sound of boiling hot water when cooking rice on the seeng or steamer.

The Seeng Nyengsreng dance work is a representation of well-being, prosperity, and success in the economy.

This dance is also a form of appreciation for the Mayor of Bogor, a wise leader and high conservation in building the city. In addition, a special ritual of the Mipit Amit Ngala Menta harvest was also carried out. (Diskominfo Kota Bogor/ Rani)
