PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Approaching the turn of the year, the Bandung City Regional Government (Pemda) has confirmed its commitment to focus on 3 main priorities in 2025.

The three are education, transportation, and water to support a better life for the citizens of Bandung City.

"Urban infrastructure is the government's primary responsibility. One of them is mass transportation in accordance with the central government's program. We must also prepare the supporting system, such as transportation feeders, in order to provide maximum service," said Acting Mayor of Bandung A. Koswara at Bandung City Hall, Monday (12/30/2024).

Apart from transportation, the water sector, both clean water and dirty water, is also a serious concern.

Koswara emphasized the importance of improving services to meet the needs of the Bandung City community as a whole.

In terms of waste management, Koswara appreciates the pattern that has been implemented, although there are still shortcomings. One of them is the existence of the Waste Free Area (KBS) which has only reached 25 percent of the target.

"We must increase the number of Waste-Free Areas at the RW level. This step not only reduces the volume of waste but also creates a cleaner and healthier environment," he said.

At the end of 2024, Koswara also reminded the public to be aware of the potential for extreme weather.

Although the weather has been quite good for the past few days, sudden changes should still be anticipated.

"Be careful with extreme weather. The most important thing is that we are always ready to face all possibilities," Koswara appealed.

Koswara hopes that with the priority on infrastructure and environmental awareness, 2025 will be a year full of progress for the city of Bandung and its citizens. (Diskominfo Kota Bandung/Revo)
