PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City National Narcotics Agency (BNN) will have a Narcotics Rehabilitation building on Jalan Ciung Wanara, Coblong District. The plan is for this rehabilitation center to operate from November 2024.

The building is planned to have seven floors to increase access to services for Bandung residents.

"We are targeting completion in November. This is specifically a place for rehabilitation activities. Apart from that, the Bandung City BNN office will also be present at that place," said Head of Bandung City BNN General Subdivision, Gilang Fajar Shadiq.

"This is the first pilot project throughout Indonesia, where the city level has independent rehabilitation services," he added.

The plan is for the rehabilitation center to open services every day and provide inpatient care.

"It's open every day. Because it also provides inpatient care. Apart from that, there are counseling services for the community," he said.

According to Gilang, Bandung City BNN continues to improve prevention and community empowerment. This is an effort to minimize the spread of narcotics and illegal drugs.

"In 2023, we will work together with the educational environment, offices and the community to carry out socialization activities on the dangers of drug abuse. This is a form of self-reliance and family resistance to rejecting drugs," he said.

He added, in 2023, Bandung City BNN will also carry out early detection activities through urine tests for ASN in Bandung City, with a total of 2,446 participants.

"This is one of the detections in the scope of work. Apart from that, we also carry out several private requirements," he said.

As an annual activity, the Bandung City BNN will carry out International Anti-Narcotics Day with the Hani Run activity.

This is an information and educational activity through this commemoration in the form of a 5K fun run which took place at Summarecon Bandung.

"This invites people to have a healthier lifestyle without drugs," he said.

He said that in 2024 this will continue to be carried out as the main activity to be socialized to the community.

"We will continue to carry out several activities last year, in 2024," he said.
