PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) carried out a corvee in the Heulang Park area, Tanah Sareal District, Tuesday (21/4/2026), as an effort to maintain cleanliness and organize the city environment.

The activity began with an assembly in front of the Bogor City Satpol PP Headquarters and was led directly by the Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim, accompanied by the Regional Secretary of Bogor City, Denny Mulyadi.

In this activity, the former street vendors' (PKL) stalls that occupied green belts, drainage, and residents' access were cleaned up.

The Bogor City Government also conducted outreach to traders regarding plans for area development, including the development of a centralized culinary area on Jalan Kasintu.

"In the future, a special culinary area will be created on Jalan Kasintu as a solution for managing street vendors around Heulang Park," said Dedie Rachim.

The development of the culinary area is planned to be carried out by the Bogor City Housing and Settlement Service this year.

He emphasized that regional planning will continue to be carried out consistently to create a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the community.

During the inspection, the Bogor City Government also discovered illegal electricity connections being used by street vendors in potentially dangerous locations.

The electrical connections were installed in water channels and under trees. The Bogor City Government immediately coordinated with PLN to take action.

Dedie emphasized that the arrangement of the area not only targets aspects of cleanliness and order, but also public safety.

"As long as violations persist, including illegal electricity connections, we will continue to enforce them as part of our commitment to urban planning," he stressed. (Bogor City Communications and Information Office/rka)
