PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting West Java Regional Secretary Taufiq Budi Santoso appealed to all companies in West Java to strictly implement the Occupational Safety and Health (K3) system.
Moreover, today until February 12 2024, all regions in Indonesia are implementing the K3 month.
"With an K3 culture, the number of work accidents and occupational diseases can be reduced," said Taufiq when he was the supervisor of the K3 month rally in the front yard of the West Java Manpower and Transmigration Service office, Bandung City, Friday ( 12/1/2024 ).
Taufiq added that effective implementation of the K3 system will have a direct effect on economic stability because its implementation can maximize work productivity in each company.
"This K3 month is expected to be able to increase work productivity, the impact of which will also increase the company's economy," he said.
In this K3 month, the West Java Manpower and Transmigration Office will hold several implementation activities, including K3 inspections and testing (riksa test) in a number of workplaces as well as socializing the importance of K3 to the general public.
Taufiq hopes that the implementation of K3 will not only be during the month of K3, but can become a culture to reduce the number of work accidents and create a safe, comfortable and healthy workplace.
"I invite every company to consistently implement the K3 system, not only in the K3 month," he said.
Based on the BPJS Employment annual report, work accident data over the last three years has continued to increase.
In 2021, the number of work accidents will be 234,371 cases. Then in 2022 it rose to 298,137 cases until October 2023 the number was 315,579 cases.
This data indicates that the implementation of K3 must continue to be a concern and priority for the world of work in Indonesia.
