PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government is encouraging micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to expand their markets by exporting local products.

This encouragement was demonstrated through the release of the first export of 20 tons of soy sauce produced by PT Oishii Food Indonesia to the Netherlands on August 24, 2026.

Exports from Karangsatria Village, Tambun Utara District, are proof that Bekasi Regency's MSME products are capable of entering the European market.

Deputy Governor of West Java Province Erwan Setiawan appreciated PT Oishii Food Indonesia's success in penetrating the international market through its first export.

"The West Java Provincial Government will continue to support, collaborate with, and assist each other in growing the MSMEs in West Java," Erwan said.

According to Erwan, this achievement shows that West Java's MSMEs have a great opportunity to develop and compete in the global market.

"This is incredibly fast. We participated in the KKI exhibition in 2025, and now we can export to the Netherlands in 2026. Previously, we had already shipped six containers to Saudi Arabia," he said.

This success also demonstrates the benefits of promotion through exhibitions because MSMEs can meet directly with potential buyers from various countries.

Erwan emphasized that the West Java Provincial Government is ready to help MSMEs expand their export markets to various regions and continents.

"We, the West Java Provincial Government, will help develop exports to other parts of the world, to various continents," he said.

The soy sauce products sent to the Netherlands already have buyers because the exports are carried out based on orders from the destination market.

Bekasi Regency Regional Secretary Endin Samsudin assessed that the exports proved that local MSMEs were capable of moving up a class and entering international markets.

"Congratulations to PT. Oishii Food Indonesia for moving up from an MSME. This is certainly the first export, and hopefully, other MSMEs in Bekasi Regency will follow suit," said Endin.

The Bekasi Regency Government is ready to facilitate the development of MSMEs so that more local products can expand the market and improve the community's economy.

"The Bekasi Regency Government is always open and ready to facilitate the existence of MSMEs to improve the community's economy," he said.

Endin said that the soy sauce exports also helped elevate Bekasi Regency's products to national and international markets.

"This is one of the products that Bekasi Regency is proud of today. It has entered the national sphere, so it can bring honor to Indonesia and Bekasi Regency," he said.

He hopes that this success will encourage more MSMEs in Bekasi Regency to follow in the footsteps of PT Oishii Food Indonesia in penetrating the export market.

"Hopefully, other MSMEs in Bekasi Regency can move up a class and export their goods, both to Europe and other international markets," he concluded.
