PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is holding an event to express the longing for Cikapundung (Gemericik) so that Cikapundung Terrace can once again become a tourist area

This effort was also appreciated by the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, who was also present at the launch of Gemericik. He even said that the Cikapundung Terrace area was similar to Seoul, South Korea.

"If you look here, it's similar to Seol, Korea. It's natural. In other areas, such as Braga, we are planning it in stages to provide comfort for the community," said Bey, Saturday (25/5/2024).

Previously, the Bandung City Government together with the Citarum River Basin Center (BBWS) and a number of communities repaired the Cikapundung Terrace. A number of facilities at Cikapundung Terrace were repaired.

Bey also hopes that Cikapundung Terrace will continue to be improved. Not only facilities but also events can attract tourists to come to Cikapundung Terrace.

"This must continue to improve. Disbudpar prepares local arts. If possible, apart from traditional music, there is music such as jazz music and so on, because there are many musicians in the city of Bandung. Residents can leave the house and enjoy a fresh, comfortable and better Bandung," he said.

Please note, the location of Cikapundung Terrace is quite strategic. The location is not far from the Babakan Siliwangi Forest Walk area. So visitors can enjoy two beautiful areas free of charge.

On the same occasion, Acting Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono hoped that Teras Cikapundung could increase the happiness index of Bandung City residents.

"This is an effort to increase the happiness index. It is also hoped that tourists coming to Bandung will increase," he said.

According to him, the assets that are already present in the city of Bandung are being renovated to pamper the community.

"We are reactivating existing and built assets. Today, we will reactivate the Baksil area, starting with the Forest Walk. As an educational tour there is also waste processing. Third, reactivation of the Cikapundung Terrace, this has value that can attract tourists," he said.

"This tourist attraction is free of charge, everyone is given food that has value. We offer traditional music and other entertainment activities," he said.
