PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Garut Regency Government affirmed its support for the Free Nutritious Meal Program and followed up on the aspirations of volunteers to support the implementation of the national program for the community (6/7/2026).

Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin received an audience with Free Nutritious Meal volunteers who conveyed their aspirations in an orderly manner in the courtyard of the Garut Regency Regional People's Representative Council Building.

"Of course, there's always an evaluation. Nothing is perfect all at once, no. Therefore, in principle, we fully support the President of the Republic of Indonesia's program for Free Nutritious Meals."

Syakur said that the Free Nutritious Meal Program, as a national strategic program, requires strong regulations to ensure its effective and sustainable implementation.

The Garut Regency Government is committed to conveying all community aspirations to the central government as a form of support for improving program implementation.

The Chairman of the Garut Regency Regional People's Representative Council, Aris Munandar, said that the eight points of the volunteers' aspirations would soon be forwarded to the Republic of Indonesia's People's Representative Council in accordance with its authority.

"We will convey this matter as soon as possible, particularly to the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). This is because the substance of the proposal falls within the central government's authority and is an important topic for discussion regarding the points in the eight aspirations."

Volunteer representatives also displayed food prepared by a chef as a form of education that the quality of the Free Nutritional Meal Program menu can meet community expectations.

The Garut Regency Government hopes that the support of all stakeholders can accelerate the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program with increasingly better governance.
