PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A number of mayors and former mayors in Indonesia gathered at the Pendopo of Bandung City, Tuesday (4/15/2025). They are members of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (Apeksi) and Apeksi Alumni.

For the Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, this meeting was an opportunity for him to gain knowledge from his seniors.

He said that as a newly appointed mayor, he needed to have discussions with the mayors who had previously held the mandate.

"I am very happy to meet so many amazing people. I will learn a lot," he said.

Therefore, Farhan welcomed the mayors and former mayors with open arms.

"Welcome to the very historic Pendopo of Bandung City. Hopefully tonight we can socialize with alumni and regional heads who are still in office," he said.

Apeksi Chairman Eri Cahyadi said that there was a lot of knowledge gained in this forum. There were many struggles related to regional progress with discussions with Apeksi members.

"Because here there are many struggles that produce ideas and concepts in the progress of the government. There is a lot of knowledge to be gained. We can invite seniors as speakers to provide their knowledge so that it is not interrupted," he said.

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Bima Arya, said that this social gathering was a space for discussion.

"We make this activity as a place to share. So that the culture of togetherness in the organization must continue to emerge," he said.
