PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - The Milangkala Tatar Sunda Cultural Parade is more than just an arts and cultural performance. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stated that there will be further efforts to advance arts and culture in West Java.

This was conveyed by KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, during the Milangkala Tatar Sunda Cultural Parade in Bogor City on Friday evening (May 8, 2026). The cultural parade, themed "Nitis Wanci Batu Tulis," began at the Pajajaran Museum, Jalan Batutulis, and ended at Lawang Suryakencana.

KDM said that one of the efforts that the West Java Provincial Government will undertake is to organize arts and cultural facilities, such as helping to repair the Pajajaran Museum with a budget of Rp9 billion.

In addition, infrastructure improvements, including roads, sidewalks and parks, will be implemented along the parade route.

"The arrangement of roads, sidewalks, lights, and parks will allow the Mayor to focus on the development of the sub-districts. It will be called Palataran Binokasih," said KDM.

Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim expressed his gratitude to KDM for the plans that have been and will be carried out in an effort to glorify Sundanese culture again.

"The Governor has brought the Binokasih Crown from Sumedang to Bogor City today," he said.

Dedie believes that the cultural parade is not merely a ceremonial activity, but rather a momentum to appreciate the cultural heritage of Sundanese ancestors and convey noble values to serve as important lessons for society, especially the younger generation.

Meanwhile, regarding plans for the arrangement of arts and cultural facilities, Dedie said that his party would carry out planning and budgeting in accordance with government regulations and governance.

The Milangkala Tatar Sunda Cultural Parade in Bogor City presents the Binokasih Sanghyang Pake Crown, which was previously kept in the Sumedang Larang Kingdom.

Thousands of people lined the routes along which the procession of various traditional arts from 27 cities and regencies in West Java passed. Spectators also enjoyed performances by traditional village communities and parade participants from Central Java, Jakarta, and Banten.
