PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Communication and Informatics Agency (Diskominfo) continues to improve its cybersecurity protection system. Collaborating with the West Java Diskominfo and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency, the Bandung City Diskominfo held a socialization and Security Awareness training for the Bandung City Cyber Incident Response Team (CSIRT) agents.

This activity was held at the Grand Pacific Hotel Bandung on Tuesday (15/10/2024), and was attended by 74 participants from regional and territorial apparatus.

The training presented three speakers, namely Cholilah and Muhammad Adib (National Cyber and Crypto Agency), and Mumul Mulyadi (Young Expert from West Java Communication and Information Service).

Acting Regional Secretary of Bandung City Dharmawan greatly appreciated this effort, and encouraged ICT managers, especially cyber incident response team agents, to always be vigilant and protect information data in their respective regional devices.

"Information security is not just the responsibility of one sector or agency, every individual is expected to have high awareness and discipline in maintaining data security, including in the use of devices, networks, and daily applications," explained Dharmawan when opening the training.

Dharmawan invited all parties to always work together, coordinate, exchange information, and synergize in managing cyber security together.

"Let's work together to increase preparedness and strengthen capabilities in facing cybersecurity challenges," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary of Bandung City Communication and Information Service, Darto AP, stated that this socialization and training aims to optimize security and prevent increasingly rampant cyber threats.

"This socialization of security awareness is expected to be a solution to seeing the massive cyber attacks and security issues," said Darto.

"The goal is to increase our understanding and awareness of the importance of information security. Starting from sensitive data protection to dynamic cyber threats," he added. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/Revo)
