
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - In an effort to support access to basic health services through health check-ups and treatment activities, Bio Farga held free treatment for 1,000 residents in two rural areas of West Java: Padaasih Village, Sumedang Regency, Wednesday (7/5/2025), and Karyamukti Village, West Bandung Regency on Thursday (8/5/2025).
This program is part of Bio Farma's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), which is held in collaboration with the Village Government and actively involves the community.
Assistant Vice President (AVP) TJSL Bio Farma Sarmedi said that the services provided include general health checks, blood sugar, cholesterol, uric acid checks, as well as providing free medicines to participants who need them.
"This is not just a medical service, but also a commitment to be present and build real closeness with the community," said Sarmedi.
"By collaborating with village officials and local medical personnel, we want to bring primary services closer, while also supporting national and regional health programs," he added.
Padaasih Village Head, Wiyatno expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity and emphasized the importance of Bio Farma's role in providing easy access to health for people in rural areas.
"Alhamdulillah, we express our deepest gratitude to Bio Farma for today's free medical treatment. This assistance means a lot to our villagers," said Wiyanto.
"Bio Farma's attention and concern for public health is very much felt, especially in areas like ours, representing sending our respects and appreciation for this activity," he added.
This activity was enthusiastically welcomed by the community. One of the residents of Padaasih Village, Sumedang Regency, Yayat, expressed his gratitude.
"I would like to express my deepest gratitude for Bio Farma's presence in our community. We greatly appreciate the assistance provided, especially to the underprivileged. Bio Farma's presence brings benefits and happiness to us," concluded Yayat.
