PORTALJABAR, INDRAMAYU REGENCY - The West Java Provincial Government, through PT Jabar Environmental Solutions (JES), signed a guarantee agreement with PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero)/PT PII regarding the Legok Nangka Regional Waste Processing and Final Processing Facility (TPPASR) project. This guarantee from PT PII can increase investor confidence in environmental infrastructure projects that have historically been highly complex, both technically and financially.

Acting President Director of PT PII, Andre Permana, stated that the guarantee provided by PT PII is a strategic step to increase investment certainty and strengthen eligibility for bank financing, thereby attracting private sector participation in the development of sustainable waste management infrastructure.

The guarantee for the Legok Nangka Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (TPPASR) represents a significant achievement for IIGF. In addition to being the first PPP project in 2026, this project is also the first waste management project in IIGF's guarantee portfolio, which will provide significant benefits to the environment, community, and regional economy.

"This project can reduce waste generation, improve the quality of waste management services, and create added value from converting waste into energy," Andre explained on Thursday (June 4, 2026).

KPBU TPPASR Legok Nangka is a waste management facility for Bandung City, Bandung Regency, Cimahi City, West Bandung Regency, Garut Regency, and Sumedang Regency with a capacity of up to 2,131 tons/day.

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stated that the Legok Nangka TPPASR is expected to be a long-term solution to support regional waste management while reducing dependence on final disposal facilities that have limited capacity.

"I appreciate the role of PT PII in providing government guarantees for this project, as this provides a strong foundation to ensure the project runs according to its commitments," said Dedi.

With waste-to-energy technology capable of reducing waste by up to 85 percent and generating up to 40.79 MW of electrical energy, Legok Nangka will be a milestone in transforming West Java's waste management into a modern, sustainable, and equitable one for all the people of Greater Bandung and its surroundings.
