PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) of West Java Province, the West Java Provincial Government, the West Java OSIS Forum (FOJB), the West Java Education Office, Telkom University and the West Java Financial Services Industry Communication Forum (FKIJK) held the 2024 School of Magnificent Leaders (SMLE) activity which was attended by 1,000 high school/vocational high school/equivalent students who are members of FOJB on August 3, 2024.
West Java is the province with the largest number of students with the number of high school/vocational high school/equivalent students as of July 2024. This reflects that West Java has extraordinary student potential, becoming the focus of the West Java OJK to be able to support the regeneration of financially savvy students.
This was conveyed by the Head of the West Java Province OJK, Imansyah, when giving a speech at the 2024 SMILE activity.
Imansyah hopes that the 1,000 participants as selected students from their respective schools can be an example for other student friends, especially in protecting themselves from various types of digital financial crimes that are increasingly rampant, one of which targets the student segment, namely online gambling under the guise of online games.
SMILE 2024 itself is a series of leadership training activities for 12th generation FOJB members. Not only financial education, but the West Java OJK also collaborated with Bank BJB to open Student Savings (SimPel) savings accounts for 1,000 participants as one of the supports for the One Account One Student (KEJAR) program on Indonesia Savings Day (HIM) 2024.
Regional Secretary of West Java Province Herman Suryatma hopes that West Java students can become agents of renewal and future leaders of the nation to achieve Golden Indonesia 2045.
"Today's students are the young generation who will later play a role in determining the fate of the nation, but it all depends on your mindset, it will also be difficult for you to be a pessimistic person. As students and the young generation, you must be optimistic about your abilities, because success belongs to everyone, especially those who work hard," he said.
"I hope this activity will have a positive impact on students in West Java that is sustainable and produces students who have leadership qualities as the nation's successors," added Herman.
Meanwhile, Narasi and Content Creator COO Jovial da Lopez and Yearbook Organization Founder Ahmad Nashrul invited participants to become a generation of students who can develop their potential optimally, dare to try new things and utilize the resources around them as best as possible. (Parno)
