PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Following up on the instructions of Acting. West Java Governor Bey Machmudin regarding handling mining transportation problems in the Parung Panjang area, Acting. Bogor Regent Asmawa Tosepu carried out an inspection to see the progress of the construction of parking lots for mining trucks located in Gorowong Village, Parung Panjang District and Ciomas Village, Tenjo District, Monday (8/1//2024).

Asmawa Tosepu said that the review was carried out to ascertain the progress of the construction of mining truck parking lots as an effort to resolve existing problems in the Parung Panjang area and its surroundings.

"Today we returned to the area to ensure the progress of the construction of the mining transport parking area, which is currently in progress at around 60%. "This means that we won't have to wait long, God willing, by the end of January we will be able to use the parking bags, that is one of our efforts in the short term," he said.

According to him, some time ago his party went to the field to determine steps that could be taken by the Bogor Regency Regional Government in accordance with existing authorities. Because when it comes to mining, there are many parties involved, not just Bogor Regency but also the Province or Central Government. From the results of consolidation, both internal and external and across sectors, it has resulted in the formulation of several short-term and long-term policies, the short term of which is to immediately complete the parking lot.

"Today we checked directly at the location of the parking bag, hopefully starting tomorrow the compaction can be used in order to limit mining transport operational hours," he said.

In the long term, he wants the mining toll road to be built immediately, law enforcement can be carried out regarding permits, including whether the tonnage, weight capacity of the truck's load is in accordance with the provisions and finally, the suitability of the vehicle. Including the information that there was an underage shooting driver, that is of concern to everyone.

"Therefore, we went back to the field to look at it, hopefully the short-term solution I presented can overcome the existing problems," he said.

He also asked mining entrepreneurs to pay attention to licensing provisions, also regarding the required load weight capacity of 8 tonnes.

"Whether they have complied with the existing provisions, we have to check together," he added.

Commitment to handling mining transportation problems in the Parung Panjang area, his party has also carried out coordination both internally with the Bogor Regency Regional Government and across sectors by involving the Provincial Government, elements of Forkopimda, related parties including legislative elements, both the leadership of the Bogor Regency DPRD and the Bogor Regency DPRD, Dapil V, which includes sub-districts. in the West Bogor area.

"We have communicated and coordinated well with many parties, including third parties, who are willing to become investors. "Because it takes a process to build this mining toll road," he said.
