PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - West Java Province Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman visited the Lulut Nambo Waste Processing and Final Processing Site (TPPAS) in Bogor Regency, Friday (17/5/2024).
During the review, Herman saw the implementation of waste processing trials using Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) technology to convert waste into Refused Derived Fuel (RDF) and compost.
"I was assigned by the Governor to accelerate the operations of the Lulut Nambo TPPAS. This is the fifth and final trial. Thank God we can carry it out today, we processed approximately 50 tonnes," said Herman Suryatman when met.
He also said that Lulut Nambo is expected to operate in stages by the end of June 2024.
"The Governor asked that this be accelerated, hopefully next month it can be operational. We hope that with hard work we will be able to be operational by the end of June," said Herman.
TPPAS Lulut Nambo can accommodate waste from the Bogor City area, Bogor Regency, Depok City and one area outside West Java Province, namely South Tangerang.
Herman guarantees that the Lulut Nambo TPPAS is presented for the benefit of the community because it includes health, social and economic functions.
"Hopefully the operationalization of Lulut Nambo can be smooth and successful, solely for the benefit of the community," he said.
"There is a social function for the villages in the Lulut Nambo area, the most important of which is waste management services for the community because the Galuga TPA is full and this is an alternative. So this must be successful for the benefit of the community," he concluded.
In the 55 hectare area of Lulut Nambo TPPAS, RDF is estimated to produce 35 percent of the potential waste entering the plant, this product is directly used by PT. Indocement as offtaker.
