PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The 051/Wijayakarta Military Resort Command expressed its full support for the priority programs of the Bekasi Regency Government. The commitment was conveyed directly by the Commander of the 051/Wijayakarta Military Resort Command during a working visit to the Bekasi Regent's Office (7/5/2025).

In a meeting with the Forkopimda ranks, Korem conveyed the TNI's readiness to collaborate in handling floods, controlling illegal buildings, and managing waste. One form of concrete support is the plan to form a Territorial Development Battalion which will be placed in Bekasi Regency.

"This battalion will focus on development programs in the agriculture, fisheries, and environmental sectors. Bekasi Regency is the first location for the implementation of this unit," said Danrem.

The Bekasi Regency Government welcomed the initiative positively. Collaboration with the TNI is considered strategic in overcoming regional problems, including waste management at the Burangkeng TPA which currently reaches 2,000 tons per day.

"The TNI already has large-scale waste management technology. This is a concrete opportunity for cooperation, including in terms of equipment and budget," said the Bekasi Regent.
