PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bandung City Youth and Sports Service (Dispora) officially released the 2024 Calendar of Events (CoE) at the Grand Pasundan Hotel, Friday (1/12/2023)

A total of 84 sports and youth events at city, provincial, national and international levels will be held in 2024.

The launch of the 2024 Dispora CoE was officiated by the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, who was represented by the Regional Secretary of Bandung City, Ema Sumarna.

Ema said that the existence of CoE Dispora could provide certainty for the presence of various sports and youth events in the city of Bandung.

Therefore, he hopes that the presence of various events throughout 2024, apart from improving the image of the city of Bandung, can also increase economic growth and provide broad benefits for the welfare of the community.

"Hopefully it will be used and filled by various groups to jointly increase positive things in the city of Bandung," he said.

Chairman of the Bandung City DPRD, Tedy Rusmawan, appreciates and supports the sports and youth events which will be held in 2024.

He believes that even though 2024 is synonymous with political year, the various events being held can actually dilute the existing political dynamics. This agenda is also a certainty for sports people and youth.

"We are reinforcing the arts and culture CoE with sporting events. There is no city as dynamic as the city of Bandung. God willing, next year will be full, with various events in the city of Bandung. This will increase the economic growth of the city of Bandung," he said.

The Head of Dispora, Eddy Marwoto, also expressed the same thing. He said the aim of the presence of CoE Dispora 2024 was to convey the widest possible information to institutions and the public in the city of Bandung.

"The more events, the more PAD will increase in the city of Bandung. With the presence of sport tourism and youth tourism in the city of Bandung, this will have an impact on improving the economy," he said.
