PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - As an effort to love the environment in terms of waste processing which is currently being promoted by the Bandung City Regional Government, Voting Place (TPS) 25 Liogenteng, Nyengserat Village, Astanaanyar District is decorated with knick-knacks from recycling waste.

Starting from tablecloths, carpets made from coffee packaging, bottle caps made into writing ornaments, used gallon bottles made into flower vase decorations and aquariums that are unique at TPS 25 Liogenteng.

"The Bandung City Government has socialized the need to sort waste from homes, coincidentally in Nyengseret Village there has been a Waste Bank since July 2023. So instead of throwing away the waste, it is better to turn it into items that can be useful, for example like these knick-knacks," said the Head of the Organizing Group Voting (KPPS) TPS 25 Liogenteng, Sandi Syarif (14/2/2024).

Sandi said that decorations made from recycled waste like this let people know that waste can be turned into something that has a more expensive selling value.

"Hopefully, after they come to the TPS and see knick-knacks from recycled waste, people can participate in sorting waste properly," Sandi hoped.

One of Winda's permanent voters at TPS 25 also appreciated the committee's creativity.

"This is extraordinary, I have already sorted rubbish at 7 houses and when I saw it here it was very interesting. This means that the people here are very creative, have lots of ideas and the support system is working," he said.

Interestingly, after voting at TPS 25, voters who had cast their ballots were given a token of affection in the form of chocolate as a sign of Valentine's Day, which is usually celebrated on February 14.
