PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government has officially set the 2026 Bandung City Minimum Wage (UMK) at IDR 4,737,678.

This determination is stated in the Decree of the Governor of West Java number 561/Kep.862-Kesra/2025 concerning the Regency/City Minimum Wage for 2026.

The 2026 Bandung City UMK is set as the lowest minimum wage limit that employers must pay to workers or laborers with less than one year of service.

This provision applies to all companies in the Bandung City area, especially business sectors that do not have sectoral minimum wage regulations.

In this decision, it is emphasized that employers are prohibited from paying wages lower than the established UMK.

In addition, companies that have been paying wages above the minimum wage are not permitted to reduce the amount of workers' wages, in accordance with laws and regulations in the employment sector.

The 2026 Bandung City Minimum Wage (UMK) will come into effect and must be implemented as of January 1, 2026.

The West Java Provincial Government together with the Bandung City Government will provide guidance and supervision on the implementation of the wage policy to ensure it is in accordance with the provisions.

The determination of the UMK is expected to provide legal certainty and income protection for workers, while maintaining a balance between improving worker welfare and the sustainability of the business world in the city of Bandung.
