PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government announced that the 2025 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) will increase by 6.5 percent, and the Provincial Sectoral Minimum Wage (UMSP) will increase by 7 percent. The increase is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower (Permenaker) Number 16 of 2024.
The announcement of the increase in the 2025 UMP and UMSP was conveyed by the Head of the West Java Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Service, Teppy Wawan Dharmawan, at Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Wednesday (11/12/2024) evening WIB.
West Java UMP 2025 increased by Rp.133,737, from Rp.2,057,495 in 2024 to Rp.2,191,238. In addition, the UMP for the Plantation Sector was set according to the proposal, namely an increase of 7 percent, from Rp.2,057,495 in 2024 to Rp.2,201,519.
"So everyone is in agreement, there is no more discussion, we fulfill all the provisions, one of which is explicitly a 6.5 percent increase (in the UMP)," said Teppy.
"There are no numbers less, no numbers more and we will implement it unanimously," he added.
Teppy said that the increase in UMP and UMPS had been agreed upon by various elements of the parties involved, namely government elements, academics, labor unions and employers, who agreed to the increase based on the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 16 of 2024.
"We are in complete agreement, so all elements involved agree that there is no bargaining as with the Manpower Ministerial Regulation (increase) of 6.5 percent," said Teppy.
